Recently on one of our business tripLeo & Sagittarrius Consulting (OPC) Pvt. Ltd.we visited Paithan to spread international vacancies to the students of Government ITI. I was intrigued by the information that the Principal provided me about the historical importance of this pious land.
Paithan is the land of Sant (Saint) Eknath Maharaj which is situated on banks of the Godavari River. He is his famous for Eknathi Bhagwat, the spiritual essence of the Bhagavad Geeta and his magnum opus Bhavarth Ramayan.
His relationship with the lord Kandiya “Krishnan” is showcased in the temple and the place where he had taken the “samadhi” (tomb)https://lnkd.in/dRQUiZ_K
Paithan is also famous for the Jayakawadi dam, the Nath Sagar Reservoir and the Dnyaneshwar Udyan.
Proud to see our #indianheritageand learn more about its importance. Our #youthshould be made aware of it through #studytour by #collegesanduniversities which will make them be proud #indian #students

The 8th edition of the India Skills Report (ISR) states that less than half of the country’s graduates are employable. The number stands at a paltry 45.9%. That means 1 in 2 graduates cannot be employed. Research also shows that the average quality of talent of outgoing students from high schools or colleges is decreasing every year with employability also plunging annually. (It was 47% in 2019 and 46.2% in 2020). One of the reasons stated for this huge gap is the lack of opportunity for students to get into an educational program which will give them the right talent set to make them a catch for future employers. This is where we come in.
With the right kind of on-the-job training, structured mentorship or short/ long term summer programs which run parallelly with their ongoing college diploma/ degree, students will be amply benefited. There is enough evidence that tier 2 and tier 3 colleges in the country have a lot of talent in them. However, the problem lies in the rote education system and the lack of domain skills that employers look for when they hire. In the present scenario universities from all over the globe are ready to invest in the immense talent that this country has and this is required to bridge this employability gap. In this day and age, the need of the hour is to strengthen our youth by looking internationally for the available tools and infrastructure for skill building.

India needs more “job givers” than “job seekers”. #entrepreneurship not only creates #capital, it creates jobs, drives social change, improves living standards, apart from having the potential of making millionaires out of young entrepreneurs. India is the world’s third largest eco-system for #startup with 38 unicorns, or firms valued at over $ 1 billion. 12 of them were created in 2020 alone and the latest one this year- Nykaa. In 2020 more than 40,000 start-ups were recognized by the government, which created almost 5 lakh jobs. All this in 2020, the year when the world was reeling under the pandemic. Various #incubationcentre / cells and other initiatives are searching for budding #entrepreneurs, not just in tier 1 but also in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
So, as a parent what would you want for your graduating child? A safe, stable, secure job or a trailblazing life as a start-up entrepreneur, with a bright future in the presence of stalwarts. As a youngster of the upcoming workforce, would you like a chance to actively participate in and grow the country’s economy?
Now, more than ever before, entrepreneurship is an option for Indian youth right out of colleges and universities. However, our education system, while giving them knowledge, falls woefully short of the know-how to navigate the corridors of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship skills can be taught.
Leo & Sagittarrius Consulting (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. workshops creates an ecosystem which sensitises students of their potential, removes their fears, and helps them to ideate business models that will make them successful entrepreneurs. We call this effort “Yogyasheel’. What it gives students is the personalised #leadershiptraining so that, as a young woman or man thinking of starting off on their own, gain the insights into team building and managing, hiring the right people, building their mission and vision, delegating, and communicating with the external world. Our vision is to partner with #universities pan India and offer ‘Yogyasheel’ – the toolbox to build entrepreneurs and own a successful start-up.

In our earlier blog we talked about the importance of creating entrepreneurs and how the country needs “job givers” rather than “job seekers”. Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (www.gemconsortium.org) mapped India’s entrepreneurial framework conditions on a scale of 1 to 5, (1-highly insufficient, 5- highly sufficient) and found that in 2020, while physical infrastructure and internal market dynamics is near the ‘4’ mark, entrepreneurial education after school level is paltry at just over ‘3’.
While the government had started creating support systems for entrepreneurs decades ago, entrepreneurship as a discipline only took off in India about ten years back. It is still limited to majorly B-schools which provide a holistic course in entrepreneurship but still promote campus placement. Major institutions too are yet unable to cultivate entrepreneurs. This is where Yogyasheel comes in. We empower the young graduates to start up and provide them the tools as well as the confidence to become entrepreneurs.
Yogyasheel is a platform that brings together industries, education institutions / universities, #financialadvisory agencies, and the government to converge as key enablers for enhancing entrepreneurship opportunities. Yogyahseel inculcates confidence in students and sensitises them about their potential to earn for themselves. Our 12 workshop program enlightens the graduates on the aspects of entrepreneurship and encourages them to create ideas. From ideation to market study, #team building to building a minimum viable product, and in aspects like finance, legal and IP, Yogyasheel covers all the areas of entrepreneurship which a student may require, with case studies of successful companies and entrepreneurs. The program culminates with a capstone project that is showcased to venture capitalists/ investors.
Additionally, Yogyasheel will work to promote #womenentrepreneurs by rolling out dedicated #incubationprogram / cohorts for female entrepreneurs.
We invite #collegesanduniversities / universities/ #skillindia centres/ #ITI / #iitians to collaborate with us to bring in an era where entrepreneurs build an ecosystem which makes #indianeconomy a 5 trillion dollar economy and a super economic power.
Our dream is to make every #graduates of the country #employable or #entepreneurs . Yogyasheel goes a long way to making this dream a reality.

We have talked in our previous blogs about employability of Indian graduates. Less than half of the Indian graduates are employable, reveals the eighth edition of the India Skills Report (ISR). In 2021, 45.9 per cent of graduates were found to be employable, a decline from 46.21 per cent in 2020 and 47.38 per cent in 2019, reveals the report.
Research shows that fresh graduates who have empowered themselves with additional professional skills are more likely to gain employment and be successful in their chosen occupations. These skills can be learnt by anyone looking to be employed. A student must go through a series of employability activities, including internship and on-the-job training, workshops or study tours, preferably in an international environment, that will help in building their employability skills and resume, leading to global employment opportunities.
Leo & Sagittarrius Consulting (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. has tied up with Wilmington Metropolitan University to provide Indian students its program called – Professional Diploma in Lean Management. The above program comes with a very unique feature of a 6-month, on-the-job experiential learning (with stipend) in Malaysia. This opens the path for young graduates with training, to get employment opportunities in Malaysia or any other country of their choice. This experience helps in adding value to their existing qualification which makes them more feasible hires than normal graduates.
Lean management as a strategy and process is highly popular and growing in service and manufacturing industries. The objective of this diploma is to develop lean management skills for fresh graduates or working adults who have the aspirations to learn lean strategy and process, and allows learners to develop and expand their high-level understanding of lean principles and tools in the workplace.
For our country, this is the kind of opportunity which serves to bridge the gap between a graduation and actual employability. This is an opportunity which young ambitious women and men should take full advantage. For details please send email to wmu@leosagittarius.com.
